The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for maintaining all plant electrical and instrumentation equipment as directed by his or her direct supervisor in a manner consistent with cost, quality and safety requirements
The Maintenance Electrician position requires a broad knowledge of production processes, equipment troubleshooting, and health and safety policies.
Individuals are expected to perform routine as well non routine maintenance on all associated process equipment and systems with minimal supervision in a participative team environment.

•Read and comprehend technical manuals and instructions
•Identify abnormal situations and conditions and elevate to supervisors for resolution
•Access, use, and update computerized maintenance management system
•Installation and repair of discrete devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, push buttons, contactors, motor starters, as well as, analog measuring instrumentation for pressure, temperature, flow, etc.
•Installation and repair of fixtures, raceway, wiring systems, motors, pumps and other electrical equipment
•Troubleshoot PLC controlled equipment as well as all plant electrical systems including motors, instrumentation, distributions and feed control systems and diagnose programmable logic control (PLC) issues with the ability to establish communications over industrial networks.
•Effectively troubleshoot electrical equipment, such as: motors, heaters, controls and safety circuits
•Execute electrical corrective and preventative maintenance functions on all manufacturing equipment
•Work with shop equipment (hand tools, meters, welding equipment, drill press, mill, and lathe) and operate equipment in a safe, efficient manner
Able to show proficiency in industrial electronics: 3 phase motors, motor control systems, AC and DC drives, PLC’s, heater controls, HMI, etc.
Strong knowledge of PLC systems
Strong AC/DC drive experience
Strong mechanical and organizational skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to work in a team oriented environment
Trouble shooting skills and ability to test facility/building elements
Requires working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and test equipment.
Requires ability to use machine/equipment manuals and reference books and to work independently and as a team.
Must be able to work any shift, overtime and weekends
The person must have PLC troubleshooting skills, experience with drive control systems, excellent mechanical skills, and great interpersonal skills
Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and instructions
Ability to access, use, and update computerized maintenance management system
Read and understand electrical and pneumatic schematics, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD)
Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation
Ensure safety by following all safety rules, procedures and LOTO procedures
