$1,500 Signing Bonus

As a Glazier you will construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, metal studs, and drywall using carpenter's hand tools and power tools making sure to conform to local building codes.

Specific responsibilities:

  • The successful Glazier candidate will have experience with installation, remodels, inspections, tools, equipment and maintenance of commercial glazing construction. Additionally, the candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and have a variety of other construction skillsets including but not limited to basic electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting.Responsibilities:- Servicing work orders at various locations within Southern California.- Removal and installation of commercial double store front doors including center hung, offset hung and frameless glass.- Removal and installation of commercial underground or loading arm door closures.- Troubleshooting and servicing commercial glazing panels and systems.- Responding to emergency service requests.- Preparing bids, field sketches and bill of materials to complete larger scopes of work requiring return trips.- Plan, layout and complete scopes of work according to job specifications and code requirements.- Communication with company's management team, supervisors and its customers.- Properly photographing existing job site conditions and work completion.- Documenting daily work activity and responding to management team inquiries.- Responsible for keeping an updated inventory of all tools and equipment assigned to you and making sure they are in good working condition.Qualifications:- History and references commensurate of senior level experience- Ability to determine glass types and other material requirements needed for glass repair or installation- Must have previous experience with aluminum mullions and glass: commercial storefronts, curtain-wall, panels and windows- General knowledge of glass holding racks, suction cup holders and hand/power tools- Demonstrated ability to correctly apply putty, adhesives, and re-glaze to all types of window sashes, doors, and glass areas- Identify window sash applications for proper glass and window installations- Knowledge of local suppliers- Measure, cut, and shape various materials to repair maintenance issues- Perform abatement tasks as required for removal of glazing materials- General knowledge and experience using the correct glass cutting tools and equipment to perform the repair- Maintain accurate records of labor, materials and work order completion information- Follow company safety guidelines, using good safety practices for operating hand/power tools and equipment as needed for the job completion- Commercial window tinting experiences a plus

Specific requirements:

  • 4 years of experience in commercial carpentry

  • Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications required by our client for information pertaining to the type of material required to get job done

  • Experience working with equipment such as: boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts

  • Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation

  • High standard of integrity and professionalism
