Description

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Pipefitters for a project located in East Boothbay, ME . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $26-30/hour for local candidates and up to $24/hour for travelers based on experience and skill level plus $130/per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:

• Bending and rolling offsets and 90s on a hand bender and machine benders

• Tack welding pipe and hangers

• Hand prep piping for backing rings and butt welds either using grinder or cutting machines

• Work to PCPs and CWPs along with the proper WAF and drawings

• Be able to read micrometer feeler gauges and identify pipe material

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5+ years of shipyard experience

• Must be able to pass a hearing test, PFT AND fit test, 3M respirator 6000 series

• Must have own tools for the trade and PPE

• Must have knowledge of all the J1 and J2 requirements

• Must know standard items that pertain to pipe installation and testing

• Must have prior experience with P1 piping and P2 high energy pipe testing and installation

• Must be familiar with QA checkpoints and what paperwork needs to be on the job during the checkpoint

• Must know standard items that pertain to pipe installation and testing
