Location: Ft. Lauderdale Florida.

Job Status: Full time.

Compensation: $40-$60 per hour DOE.

Work Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm but must be willing to work overtime as needed.

  • Direct a team of welders and manage projects.

  • Welding of a variety of materials to include vertical overhead and restricted spaces.

  • Able to fit and weld pipe.

  • Operates and use a variety of tools and equipment.

  • Works in smaller spaces and around high-end machinery spaces.

  • Work hands on with the welding team and perform welding procedures.

Perform other related duties as required to keep the project on schedule.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • MIG, TIG and Fluxcore welding process for carbon steel and aluminum. Stainless steel, CuNi and multi-process is a plus.

  • Has experience in obtaining welding certificates TIG, MIG and Fluxcore in various metals in both 4G and 6G.

  • Experienced in plasma and torch cutting.

  • Having experience in the marine industry is a major benefit but not required for the right candidate.

  • Good mechanical skills is a plus.

  • Pipefitting experience is a plus.

  • Read blue prints.

  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and using safety precautions. Will be required to take an Maritime OSHA 10 hour class within the first 60 days of employment.

  • Ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, crouch, kneel, lift, push and pull materials.

  • Experience in supervision is required.

  • Good work ethics and being a team player helps considerable in growth.

A successful candidate must be prepared to do a variety of onsite weld testing prior to employment.

We have a master welder that will help you obtain welding certificates.

Minimum required test:

  • 4G, FCAW, Carbon steel plate/pipe 12mm.

Desired additional test:

  • 4G, GMAW, Aluminum 5086 plate/pipe 9.52mm.

  • 6G, GTAW, CuNi 90/10 pipe 6mm.

  • 6G, GTAW 316L stainless steel pipe 10.97mm.

  • 6GR preferred for pipe.

Language: Candidate must speak English, Spanish is a plus.
