Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Flat Welders for projects located in and around Grand Rapids, MI. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of $18-24/hour based on experience & skill level. Job Scope:

• Write programming, edit programming, troubleshooting, operate welding machines

• Set up & maintain welding work cells

• Proving out welding processes or specifications, materials, testing programming, welding automation or robots

• Troubleshoot welding related processes and the investigation of materials & specifications

• Perform welding procedures on fitted assemblies; frames, frame components, various auto & non auto parts

• Inspect products at defined intervals against designated acceptance criteria as defined in work instructions

• Maintain a positive working relationship with employees to ensure a cooperative and productive work environment

• Monitor welding supplies, operate MIG & TIG resistance & stick welding machines as required

• Rig lift, move mount, & demount frame components into weld position or fixtures

• Replace consumable parts on wire feeders & welding guns; provide minor repairs to welding guns

• Remove & install robotic weld fixtures, program & reteach welding robots

• Set up brake presses, fabricate production items as required

• Perform daily weld tests, verify certifications of all handheld inspection devices & gauges, conduct accurate reporting of production into ax system

• Lite gauge metal welding; 16Ga, 14Ga of door frames for commercial buildings

• Build & assemble door frames & sidelite frames that have tight measurement tolerances & must be true and square

• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• 1+ years of robotic welding; Fanuc experience

• Ability to read & interpret blueprints, tape measure, route sheets & work sheets

• Proper PPE
