Tradesmen International, Inc. Lead Carpenter in MCDONOUGH, Georgia


Tradesmen International is seeking highly motivated Lead Carpenter to join our team. If you are a Lead Carpenter this is your chance to launch your career.

As a Lead Carpenter you will be responsible for creating and installing building parts made of sheet metal. Installs and repairs heating and air conditioning ducts, roofing, stainless steel appliances, siding, and metal partitions. Also, you will be in charge of managing a punch list of items to include installation of doors, door hardware, cabinets, trim and additional millwork using carpenter's hand tools and power tools making sure to conform to local building codes. Responsibilities will include attending general contractor sub meetings and reporting all information to the Project Manager.


Specific responsibilities:

  • Fitting and installing window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim using a carpenters level, plumb bob, and laser levels

  • Erecting scaffolding, ladders for assembling structures above ground levels

  • Studying specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required

  • Shaping or cutting materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws

Following established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment

  • Building or repairing cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools

  • Assembling and fastening materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue

  • Removing damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools

Inspecting ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures

  • Attend general contractor sub meetings

Specific requirements

  • 5 years of experience in a leadership role.

  • Proficiency with and knowledge of shapers, planers, routers, and other essential machines is required.

  • Must be able to read cut list and plans.

  • Job is full time with possible overtime.

  • Bench work for custom luxury wood windows and doors

  • All aspects of woodworking, primarily finish work not rough carpentry

  • Review and inspect work for quality control
