Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Inside Machinists for projects located in and around the Newport News, VA area . This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of up to $27.31/hour based on experience plus $120/Day Per Diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:

• Operating Manual and/or NC Machines, such as Boring Mills, Lathes, Horizontal and Vertical Machining Centers, EDMs, etc.

• Manual Data Input

• Working with Controllers such as Fanuc, Siemens, Acramatic, Cincinnati Milacron, etc.

• Threading, Measuring, Gauging, Drilling, Tapping

• Carbide Machining

• Tooling Offsets, Conversation Controllers, etc.

• Other Tasks as Assigned

Requirements

• 2+ Years of Experience as an Inside Shop Machinist

• Familiarity with Numerical Controlled Processes, use of Precision Measuring Instruments, Outside/Inside Micrometers, Depth Mics, Verniers, etc., Carbide Machining Processes

• Strong Math Skills

• Ability to Comprehend Complex Mechanical Drawings and Blueprints

• Able to Work any Shift

• Must be a US Citizen

• Pass a Drug Screen & Background Check
