Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Apprentice Pipefitters for projects located in Knoxville, TN . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $30/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

• Selects type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment such as supports, hangers and valves according to job specifications

• Assists in planning the sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers

• Cuts pipe using a pipe cutter, pipe saw power tools, band saw and pipe cutting machine

• Threads pipe using threading machine

• Mounts pipe hangers and brackets on walls and ceiling to hold pipe

• Assembles and installs a variety of metal or nonmetal pipes and pipe fittings using threaded, wrapped, soldering, brazen fused or cemented joints and hand tools

• Secures pipes to structure with bracket clamps and hangers using hand and power tools

• Conducts field layout of the piping system and calculates offsets miters and fittings as required

Requirements

• Knowledge in safe operation of Victaulic roll grooving and cut groove

• Ability to read drawings including but not limited to pipe shop drawings mechanical drawings and PID

• Must have all proper PPE and tools of the trade
