Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Shipfitters for projects located in the Paducah, KY area . This is a first & second shift opportunity and the pay rate is $20-22/hour based on experience plus $100/day per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job-site.If you are a Shipfitter eager to master your skills alongside other accomplished Craft Professionals, this is your chance to advance your career!

Job Scope:

• Repair work on river barges and towboats

• Work with stainless and carbon

• Read/interpret blueprints

• Layouts from blueprints

• Lay out the damaged areas on a vessel & cut out steel on boat without damaging adjacent plates which involves washing off welds, holding plates or framing together with cutting torch

Requirements

• Must have 5+ years of Shipfitting experience

• Must pass test

• All PPE

• Basic PPE, tape measure, speed square, stricker, cutting torch, hose, framing square, chalk line, wedges, wedge clips, C clamp, sledge hammer, bottle jack eye clips
