Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Traveling Marine Shipfitters for projects located in and around Calvert City, KY. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of $20-22/hour based on experience & skill level plus $100/per diem for travelers of 60+ miles from the job site. If you are a Shipfitter and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!

Job Scope:

• Repair work on river barges & towboats

• Work with stainless & carbon

• Some new construction work

• Wash off welds, hold plates or framing together with cutting torch

• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• 5+ Years of Shipfitting Experience

• Ability to read/interpret Blueprints

• Ability to lay out damaged areas on vessel & cut out steel on boat without damaging adjacent plates

• Shipfitter Test

• Proper PPE

• Hand Tools
